Health, purity, balance. 

Hygeia, the Goddess of health, symbolises holistic healing and purification. Giving her name to our well used word ‘hygiene’, she represents taking care of the body and mind to prevent illness. This health conscious Goddess treats her body as a sacred vessel and practices daily rituals which maintain her health such as staying hydrated, sleeping well, breath work, meditation and exercise. As she purifies and  cleanses on a deep level, often things will get worse before they get better, but the healing will be whole.
